Steve; +1. Your pics of late better show the unique flanging and showcase the ribbon work of your hat collection. By your collection, I get that the European makers were being very creative and in general greater risk takers than the standard American hat makers of similar era.

I would like to see a pic collection of hats, by year, model of American hatters. Now that would be a coffee table book I would like to own. I suspect it might get buried by others on our tables, but I would peruse it often. Hmmmm.......some of the forum hat sages and collectors this would be a worthy project.
