Sorry, it seems like that thing is glued to my head, but it's what I was wearing.

The sun was right in my face, hence the squinty eyes.

It does look very nice, with a tyrolean bent. Are there photos of the hat with inside/tag images on the Borsalino Brotherhood. If truly a pre-war Borsalino, it would be a special apple.

Josh, that hat was sold to me by HarpPlayerGene, here at the Lounge. The only things I did to it was put a little more diamond to the bash and raise the central dome to clear my head -- it didn't take much raising, as the crown is already pretty tall. About the range of fits for the same size, yes, hatmaking, even when hats were everywhere, was an art, not a science.

If that hat was one of Gene's, it is most definitely something special.

Check out this thread. It talks about the snap brim homburgs. I think your hat would fit perfectly in there.
