What is this?

    Not a clue. At first I thought it might hold a traveling liquor setup but the insides don't look right for that.
     
  4. I don't have a clue either but the set up of the interior is the most telling photo.
    It looks like it is suppose to hold a "set" of something not a singular item like a cassette case.

    I'm sure this shows up in the photos but there appears to be a place for a small mirror.
    My thoughts are leaning toward some sort of woman's travel case.

    Overnight travel case of some kind would be my guess. Mirror in the slot, clothes and whatnot in the big space, sundries in the elastic side spaces.

    That's exactly what it is. Probably mid-to-late '60s vintage, judging from the shape of the handles and style of the leather.
