Trying to give you folks an idea of what I’ve put the LW through today. Rain is starting to slow down a bit. My bike is washed out in background.
Spoiled with some unseasonable 60s this past Thursday and Friday, so naturally a wintry mix in Michiana today. Vintage Fox Knapp peacoat was more than up to the task:
Im envious of the changing season look everyone is having, here everything is exactly the same just wetter and i have to remember to mop dry the spot where i stand for selfie after each rain, before i slip and pour near boiling hot coffee over myself. Just indigo black type 3 for a quick minimarket run for a loaf of bread, cereal and icecream.
LOL.. that’s patina you’re looking at...the O.G Disston spring rake is unmatched in leaf raking Ability!... 25+ years old on its 2nd handle and good for another 25 years..
Can’t get enough of this Schott type III, traded the open road for the 50s Keith, added a vest and there you go, totally different style. Now that i see it, i probably should have wore a tie and a more formal shirt without all the bling bling to be even more into style.
It literally wears like a warm pyjama. It’s super comfortable. I haven’t worn mine much because it is for cold weather, have to alter the sleeves lenght and wearing the others was more practical at the time because of that. Also the zipper is smooth! It may not be a Talon or whatever but works fine. Mine is the first iteration.
Today RMC MJ18119, Wool "Raschel*" Sports Jacket *The jacket/fabric is made on a Raschel knitting machine. This type of production creates a unique, tightly woven fabric that I really appreciate. It feels sturdier especially with the cotton lining than the common browns beach fabrics. A positive side effect, it is also wind repellent and warmer than browns beach.
