It´s the same story over and over again. Some makers are just too stubborn to deviate from their "but it´s period-correct" tune.
I am by now pretty sick and tired of having to listing to "you just have to be careful" explanations (Freewheelers even include a "zip-up-manual" with the new jackets; I posted it in this thread some time ago).
TFL is full of stories and pictures of broken zippers, so it can´t be the unability of buyers to zip up a $3.000 jacket when all works fine on a $100 mall jacket with plastic zippers.

Haha yeah it’s funny how they have to include a “manual” on how to properly use a zipper.

Just arrived. Thank you @rockabilly for sending this incredibly badass vintage Arcaidia/ HWM mash up!!! Absolutely love this jacket. Obviously not wearing it today but had to show the beauty of this thing. French seams all over the place, iridescent green liner and a lovely purple brown hide. My heart is full of love for this beauty!!

Dude, awesome. The profile from the back is perfect. Vintage is the way to go.

Aye I am pretty reluctant to zip up my RMC because it is hookless. Where my Flat Heads use a modern zip so I don't need to think about it. I do like the look of the hookless (I'm surprised companies don't put the metal eyelets but with a modern zip) but I'd trade it anyday for the convenience of a modern zipper.

Looks so good @Mrfrown! Love the shirt too

Thanks Jin - and to be honest I’m surprised I haven’t seen you repping the JL shirt heh

I know I am perhaps not representing the majority here but: Your nicest one , IMO!

Thanks Tom! I think the comfort complaints can be true - about the collar hugging my neck a bit and about the CXL - while also still really digging it.

The type 2 trucker looks great on you.
Gosh! That Type II is a beautiful amazing jacket! Schott is really stepping up their game! I was a little stunned and I walked out of there empty handed. Although, I did buy my wife an awesome pilot jacket and a pair of socks. It’s been almost 2 years since set foot in that store. The staff was super nice, great experience.
