It’s very substantial. The lining as well. A super sturdy sailcloth. Cotton, but the tough kind.

I am on kind of a road trip with my wife, travelling from the North Sea all the way to the Czech border. Yesterday, I asked my wife to pass me the jacket from the backseat while I was driving as I wanted to check for my wallet. She refused as she found the thing too heavy. I‘d say that pretty much passes the test…

It’s pretty crusty, across the back between shoulders all cracked and worn off. I believe the zipper could be sewn back in. Multiple threads out but for price it’s a decent piece of history I suppose. Nice and heavy. Definitely wearable now. Maybe send to Dena and get her opinion on refurb.

Newbie leather jacket collector here. Been using this forum as the source of inspiration or understanding of good leather jackets… think it’s time I actually socialize and post what I have been wearing since I started collecting for past few months

Here was today’s jacket. The Real McCoy’s Type-A2 in kakishibu dyed horsehide. Feels amazing and smells great too (almost cedar like). I appreciate any feedback on the fit. My understanding is that the roomy shoulders is style appropriate? Cheers!
