Fivestar "capeskin" a-1.could probably take a size lager, but this will mainly be a summer jacket. Screenshot_20190919_202217_com.android.gallery3d.jpg Screenshot_20190919_202232_com.android.gallery3d.jpg

Five Star Leathers russet goatskin M-422a with the Gordon & Ferguson label (the left pocket is slightly wider than the right as per G&F originals). The red lining they’ve used is cotton, not rayon or sateen.
While certainly not 100% accurate, it’s very well made and has the overall look and feel of a WWII M-422a. The russet goat is very thick and substantial yet soft and easy to wear right out of the box. Beautiful grain and the stitching is done with a light khaki thread for contrast. I also had them add an inside wallet pocket. A great value for the money.

Lol, don't. This has been attempted several times already, to no avail. Trench is entrenched on this matter. :D

Yep, it's part of his standout charm. I like it.

Spent the week in Minneapolis for work and got the chance to take the Chips with me. Now back in the office and it is still with me...

More of the same today. Layering With a thickish sweater. Needs a lot of wear to be a cool jacket, but we will get there. Screenshot_20190920_200209_com.android.gallery3d.jpg Screenshot_20190920_200157_com.android.gallery3d.jpg

Cafe Racer jacket in Battered Seal mid-HH arrived two days early to Taipei, just in time for cooler weather and mild typhoon (typhoons in Taipei seem much kinder than HK equivalents). I sized up to a 42 and, for me, this is an ideal fit for this style (I don't want to look like laowei sausage-boy). The sleeves will shorten up, but they're also quite handy as they are. The inner lining is black cotton drill; much as I like tartan linings, this might be harder-wearing and better for when the temperature starts to climb again. As I work at altitude, this'll definitely see a good few months' wear...

The sleeves look unbalanced because I've trapped a nerve in my shoulder, so I'm a bit lop-sided.

I reckon this is a bit heavier than the Battered Tan; it's already showing some lighter areas due to creasing (and because I wear it out in the deluge like a boss).
