My favorite leather jacket in the world!!! You sure got the right size. I don't imagine it can fit better than this.
Thanks Monitor! It is very comfortable. Nice quilted liner and well broken in heavy leather! The pics make it look like I'm rigid but it is quite relaxed.

The nicest half belt on TFL! What zipper is it though? Doesn’t look like Aero’s standard Talon zip.

Thanks, I do like the cut of the August, it hangs well and the action back gives that little bit more freedom across the back. The tan is still proving a bit of an issue with me though, just can’t find many clothes that go well with it. The zip is a Waldes, way more substantial and functional than Aero’s usual Talon which I’ve found can become very difficult to start when the end decides to retreat between the heavy leather facings.

Connolly steer Aero Highwayman. Picked this up from the classifieds from @Monitor a while ago and put it back up for sale because the sleeves and are a bit short for me. No takers yet (though to be fair I haven’t bumped it in a while). Still wearing it in the meantime as it really is a cool jacket, and great for just throwing over whatever I’m wearing, even if the fit is not ideal.

First day out with the new Thedi courtesy of Colin via the classifieds. Phenomenal jacket, essentially brand new. I was worried that the fit would be too small but it's probably my best fitting jacket. Can't wait to see this thing develop, the veg tan cognac buffalo is really something else. The construction is superlative, and it's easier to wear in warmer temps.

Just picked up this 1980’s Willis & Geiger G-1 off the ‘Bay; it’s in pristine condition and the russet goatskin has some of the most amazing grain I’ve ever seen!
The challenge I’ve set for myself is to wear this one often enough (in the sun, rain, etc) to have the dark brown mouton fur actually start to fade to the rust brown shade that we see on vintage G-1’s.
I feel that this is more or less what a newly manufactured WWII jacket would look like if we could go back in time to 1942 (and it’s very close to the look of the jacket that actor Ed Skrein wears portraying Navy pilot LT Richard Best in the new “Midway” movie).
