I always have a question on G-1, why it doesn't has warmer lining like quilted or wool since it is a winter jacket (fur collar)? It doesn't make sense.View attachment 198612
First snow of the season; actually a mix of snow, freezing rain, sleet, etc. Willis & Geiger G-1 with thick wool turtleneck to fend off the cold.
Would love to see 30 days on yours. Vicenza seems to show wear really easily so I’m working my way up to CXL.Fantastic!
I’ve been wearing and loving mine for the last few days. I might even go for the Full 30.
Great looking!

The G-1 is classified as an “intermediate” flying jacket. Back in the day (WWII), the Navy had a cotton summer flight jacket, the M-421, an intermediate jacket, the leather M-422a (later called the G-1) and a winter flight jacket, the sheepskin M-444/M-445.I always have a question on G-1, why it doesn't has warmer lining like quilted or wool since it is a winter jacket (fur collar)? It doesn't make sense.
My current grail at the moment.
Vicenza is more “rockstar” whereas the CXL definitely has a “biker” vibe.Would love to see 30 days on yours. Vicenza seems to show wear really easily so I’m working my way up to CXL.
Great analogyVicenza is more “rockstar” whereas the CXL definitely has a “biker” vibe.
