I’ve got the IH 19oz LOD die tomorrow. I love Bravestar and IH. Once you hit that heavyweight....nothing else even seems wearable.

I'll give a disagreement here. I know some people fall in love with heavy weight jeans and jackets when they get them, but I went heavyweight and came back to mid weight denim. I went all the way up to 25/26oz jeans. They weren't even uncomfortable after a while, but I don't think they actually look great anymore. There are quite a lot of people who went heavy and went back to lighter weights.

Not really trying to argue, just want to throw a different experience out there.

It's only Northern England, it's not that cold. It got to about -7 Celsius last week and the lowest that I've ever witnessed was -18 Celsius in Scotland in 2010.

I just like Irvin. That's my go to shearling jacket maker.

Oh boy when you put it that way I guess it really is not for the faint hearted. That's crazy how cold that might be, not to mention the effort to shovel your way out of the snow and the short hours of daylight. Lots of respect to the people who get a real winter.

I think England's winters are just perfect - not too cold or extreme and don't last too long either.

Seconded! I have a B3, and I don´t even care for the looks much. It just happens to be the only leather jacket that fits over a suit and I don´t leave the house without it these days. And I am NEVER cold (-11 degrees C this morning...).

Back length is indeed pretty short at 22.25 but it doesn't feel that short. It still covers my belt and I'm 5'11. I think it works because of the 3' front drop. Plus I like to wear my jackets relatively short anyway

I only have 3 shearlings, but I agree that nothing beat a shearling.

I have worn it a few hours at home(when received), two days outside.

It feels weird to wear sneakers but I need to due to painful tendinitis in my Achilles.

Freewheelers “Darius”

You can see it is very A or bell shaped. It wears roomy but comfortable, doesn’t feel like I am wearing a jacket at all.

It can button just like this too making a super small collar.

The deerskin is amazing. I got caught in the rain and didn’t cover myself. It made the leather less stiff and gave it some quick character. I managed to scratch and scar the leather without noticing on some spots but well it is meant to be worn.
