We bought tickets for the Prado and it was supposed to be open until 8 p.m., but closed at 2 PM on that day due to a holiday so we missed it. I don’t recall seeing Retiro Park, what is it like?Cheers Jon

That park does look beautiful! Not sure how it slipped past us. We were there for 10 days and had an amazing time. We saw a lot of beautiful architecture, walked a lot, visited the markets, and ate amazing meals. What could be better? It was actually my third time visiting Spain, my first time was in the early 90s.
