I've definitely become soft wearing my Schotts lol,Breaking in a new vanson is brutal.This thing could stop a ******. My perfectos feel like a comfy pyjama jacket in comparison.

Schott type 100 trucker jacket, just picked up in a large off Ebay for £200. Looks to be made in ‘06, apparently the jacket was made from ‘95-‘08 according to Jerri from Schott.

Not bad for my first leather jacket I think. Bit tight buttoning up but I need to lose a few pounds lol

Looks great! Though seeing the collar up against your bare neck is giving me flashbacks lol. I had one from similar time that was also quite stiff. Ended up giving it to my father in law after he complimented it a bunch of times and I got fed up with it rubbing against my neck. Of course I've wished many times I had it back lol, especially after moving up to the colder winters in North Carolina

Schott size medium has always fit me perfectly regardless of the pattern, so I was one of the gullible fools to bite on this jacket.

Haven't made up my mind on keeping it or not, but fortunately Schott does have a phenomenal return policy. @X83 and @Tom71 the price is pretty outrageous. That being said the website lists the jacket as made in "exceptional Horween horsehide," which I think is a fair statement. Not the best lighting but the jacket just arrived.

If I do keep it though, besides the fit, the quality of the leather will be the reason. This is veg tan full aniline leather, completely different than the chromexcel stuff I've previously experienced. Still very robust, but when I quickly tried it on moving around was fine, and I'd imagine it would be beautiful once broken in. Even the buttons were easy to use. Best way I could describe this leather is more like artisinal horsehide, like the Maryam hide I bought for my custom Vanson, or that you see used for a lot of custom boots. Just look at the grain on the back panels, it's all over the jacket. Lastly, the color!

,,vanson E has a long long long way to go before it stops cutting off my circulation,,one day in and years to go,it will be my layering jacket since I've lost 20lbs.wore it tonight with heavy wool shirt, and scarf,brilliant winter crosszip.

Hey boys so in the first picture you can see pointing at a jacket I own that same jacket but in the black horse hide it’s their mechanic jacket. I noticed they had it in a new color and that’s nothing new to me. It’s before they had posted it on the site. I didn’t think anything of it because I already owned the jacket in Black then I’m looking online and it’s made of Horween hh but the sticker is 1875 $ I love shcott jacket, but anyone else think that’s a bit outrageous View attachment 753455

That one caught my eye too! Some Schott jackets are hit & miss but, they definitely nailed it on this one. They got the pattern and fit right! Yes, the price is high but, prices are up on everything 20-30% increase on average.
