About 6 months after dropping off the leather and it finally arrived. Was well worth the wait and here is my new Vanson maverick.

I wanted to see if I could find a leather with a sort of denim appearance/color, and so when I found "washed ocean blue" Maryam horsehide I thought I had the right stuff. Lighting indoors is always tough, but it's pouring rain out at the moment. First wear working around the apartment will have to do.

I wish you could find Maryam leather offered more places. It's going to take some wear before it starts to drape a little more, but has a really special quality to it. I'm also thrilled with the color. There is a mix of lighter areas like on the right sleeve. Other than selecting the leather, and asking for a slightly elongated collar, everything else is all Vanson, absolutely bomb proof!

Colour is the bee’s knees! Great choice for a trucker. Also, good fit. Will be spectacular once it breaks in a bit.

One of the nicest truckers around. Of course, I am one of the few who prefer snap buttons both visually and functionally.

Cheers mate, appreciate the kinds words! I've previously only had a trucker with rivet style buttons, but I can definitely see the appeal with the snaps.

Me too. Vansons are built to last so I know it'll hold up, and Maryam tannery makes great stuff!

Perfect! Literally could not imagine a nicer Trucker! I also am a big fan of snaps on these (esp leather). That color leather will only get better too!

Our whole route today was coastal with a blasting southerly blowing us home.
Next week and Christmas a wee tad warmer. Too hot for leather those days !

Not a Jacket but hey This is an early 80s Burberry, took me quite some trial and error to find one that works for my proportions (6'7 and slim, so everything is usually either too short or too wide). This one is technically 2 sizes too small but tagged as a customized extra Long and i had the sleeves lenghtened even further as much as possible with the available material.

Not sure how I missed your post but this jacket is Spectacular! It does indeed look like leather denim which was your goal as well as the fit. The Maverick is the Best styled/fitting Type III style jacket and I have 3 of them in different colors. This will season up nicely over time and become one of your favorite jackets I'm sure. I have an Aero Type III in the Navy Vicenza w/contrasting caramel stitching which is a great jacket but yours is next level! I've attached an image for reference although I think some are sick of seeing it again.
