Just for fun I thought I might post some pics of my Al's vs. Cal Leather straight zip CHP police jackets. Found both on the bay. Al's on the left. The Cal is one VERY substantial hide! Biggest difference between the two (other than weight) is the sleeve gusset and shoulder gusset detail.

Another vintage Swedish army parka, the 1909 I think is the model number. I’d love to have a white one as well like @Herrvallmo but it would be quite excessive, considering there’s not that many days when I can wear it in the south of Sweden. It’s just below freezing here today and honestly the jacket is a bit too warm.

Nice Tor, that's proper winter war stuff :D I'd get even less out of it here in Spain

Excellent coat. I find mine perfect if you're not moving too much, as soon as you start pulling kids on sledge up hills then cape mode needs to be engaged.

When I lived in the UK Steve I used a see a couple in Militaria shops, I was surprised how actually heavy they are, your definitely in the right place for one
Is half a dozen days per year enough to justify having it? I'll say yes, I should wear an A2 under it to get my moneys worth. You must require much less wardrobe space in Spain without wooly ganzies and muckle jackets.

That's fair enough Steve, yep my summer fair weather wardrobe far outweighs what little winter gear I have haha 2 jerseys do me, a parka, I have a peacoat although before this storm Francis came and it went to minus grades I was steaming in the peacoat haha my leather jacket does me for early spring, years ago my Spanish wife said you still think your back in East Yorkshire :D
