It´s unlined as I recall, and that´s the main reason I passed on his one.

My recent MF Campus jacket had completely changed my view on unlined jackets. The interior is wonderfully soft like suede. Unless you need the lining for warmth, unlined really is pretty nice.

Historically here in the US air power ( and often times rimfires ) were typically made for and thought of as being for kids, but there have always been people who enjoyed being able to shoot at home with air power.
I got my 1st at age 7 and just never stopped, I can get trigger time in every day no matter what ( I have some for shooting in my hallway) , powder burners are great for defensive purposes...etc but air power is my 1st love of shooting enjoyment

These days the sport / hobby is bigger than ever because for some reason PCP's that are too powerful to shoot in your backyard are what it took to get a lot of people interested in the hobby, but now field target and all kinds of air power shooting sports from Europe have made their way over here.

What you see here happens to be a CZ Slavia 618 from the 60's ,quite a svelte little youth model springer.
The only springers I enjoy are the little youth models, and the large majority of my collection is pneumatic or co2 and made in the US from the 30's-70's.

I haven’t done any shooting for 7 years. I keep thinking I should get a very low-power air ****** that I could safely shoot in the garage.

Just remember that a nice stout leather jacket makes shooting much harder to do.

That leather looks really great! I presume it's comp weight? Didn't know it could age like that.

Not comp weight - this is the sadly discontinued X150. A bit thinner and more rigid than comp weight, but comfy and has killer grain once it's broken in.

For what it's worth, it's not "flaking" like some do, the leather stays pretty even to the touch. It's a nice leather to jump into the mosh pit with imo haha

Don't know why people get so cheesed on the fast faders. If its too much, can't one just rub in a little colored polish to tone down or cover?

Back in the day, it was a daisy pivot pump. The bb's would line up in a sight window in the top.
The more pumps, the more power. Got a little stiff at 7 or 8. Other than sniping green army men, our specialty was the point blank to brown slugs. We always tried to get the guts up on the other guys leg. I'm totally grooving with hunting, but we tended to have too much critter empathy to move up the food chain just for giggles.

Back in the day, it was a daisy pivot pump. The bb's would line up in a sight window in the top.

That would be a Crosman 760 or 66.
None of Daisy's BB/ pellet multi pumps had a gravity feed inline magazine on top.

I wore my model 66 out by over pumping it nearly every day for 10 years then tossed the thing not knowing I could repair it, but these days I know that I only ever need 3-5 in my pneumatics for plinking.

I had to look it up, but my dad had a Sheridan Blue Streak when he was a kid and that I shot when I was a kid. I wonder if that would be low powered enough to shoot safely at home with my kids, if I only gave it one or two pumps?

I don't know neither.
To me as long as the leather/jacket is well made and behaves as intended without failing and crumbling terribly in 10 years, then it's a good leather jacket.

I decided to take a G-1 with me when I start trucking again next week, and I found this Star Sportswear model on eBay in extremely good condition for a cheap price

I honestly couldn't be happier with this 1975 jacket (also the year I was born). Yes it's cowhide but that doesn't bother me. It will still be durable, wind breaking and water resistant. What surprised me is the mouton collar - from the photos I thought for sure it would be synthetic, but it certainly feels real (whatever it is, it's very comfortable and in great shape).

The fit is great and I believe I can beat this jacket to hell for a good long time.

My days of fashion are just about over. I am switched over to practical mode now - durable, replaceable, dependable, comfortable: those are the primary criteria for my wardrobe moving forward. I believe this jacket ticks those boxes.
