This is really challenging. The immense joy of having your first child; something I have not yet been blessed to experience, then the sudden, very deep loss of your father. Extremely sorry for your loss here. No words are adequate.

I am very grateful at the same time that you have your newborn child to love and cherish! :)

Also, I'm sorry about the disappointment you're feeling about this new Thedi (although it was some time back that you received it). Maybe try giving it a couple light coats of "Horseman's One Step" or "Urad - Tenderly". Either one will provide a significant improvement in "hydration" of the leather, quite similar to what a good hand cream does for our hands. See if that might help boost this otherwise very nice Thedi jacket.
Thank you very much my friend for your kind words!
My dad's passing was really sudden and unexpected as he was young and healthy and strong. Living in a different country it is a big shock receiving a phone call late on a Sunday evening from my mom...
The birth of a child is something that cannot be described. I was present at the delivery room and witnessing a small creature popping up suddenly, taking its first breath and letting its first cry is the most important experience in life. A real wonder.
You realize that having experienced these events in less than a year (plus a surgery I underwent with a recovery going worse than planned) the last thing I would lose any sleep over is a jacket, or a scratch in my car, or a stain in my boots!

I wholeheartly wish you to experience. It is never too late, I became father late in life. When my dad was my age I was 17 and my sister 19!

Mid 60's and sunny today, and I'm wearing the JCP Plain pockets to take advantage of the nice weather on my day off to get some backyard plinking in with one of my vintage air powered lead slingers.

Had to be at an office table-tennis event in the afternoon (full on “Marty Supreme” vibes…), so I decided the Langlitz checked all boxes for “business-casual” today.

That's what I would wear to lose at table tennis and then say I lost cause the jacket got in the way but I had to ensure everyone knew I'm the coolest dude in the office

Branded "Orchard M/C" car coat. This thing weighs just under 10 pounds. The leather is very soft and pliable and you can't see them from this shot but it has storm cuffs. It also has little slits at the side with elastic bands and snaps, buttons with the official NY state seal, and very nice grain. Main zip is a VERY chunky talon

Simple idea, post pics of the jacket you are wearing today, hence 'What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?'
This thread may have legs, it may fizzle, either way I am sitting here waiting for my wife & loving my Aero Goat modified half belt.
Have fun people!
Hi there. Making my first post to get my trophy

Sugar Cane's Indian motorcycle cafe racer style in thick yellowish teacore horsehide. The pigment fades fast, I wasn't a fan at first but the leather, the hardware, the construction, everything is growing on me. One of my favorite thick horsehides with Lost Worlds'. View attachment 772257

Woah! Black on yellow is something I had yet to see.

Not a fan of those "easy-rub-off" top-layers per se, but it sure has the potential for some spectacular fading. I have a brown on red RMC that I quite like to watch evolve.

For what it's worth, it's not "flaking" like some do, the leather stays pretty even to the touch. It's a nice leather to jump into the mosh pit with imo haha

I love air ***s. And I genuinely thought that to Americans, plinking means firing a .22LR.
Historically here in the US air power ( and often times rimfires ) were typically made for and thought of as being for kids, but there have always been people who enjoyed being able to shoot at home with air power.
I got my 1st at age 7 and just never stopped, I can get trigger time in every day no matter what ( I have some for shooting in my hallway) , powder burners are great for defensive purposes...etc but air power is my 1st love of shooting enjoyment

These days the sport / hobby is bigger than ever because for some reason PCP's that are too powerful to shoot in your backyard are what it took to get a lot of people interested in the hobby, but now field target and all kinds of air power shooting sports from Europe have made their way over here.

What you see here happens to be a CZ Slavia 618 from the 60's ,quite a svelte little youth model springer.
The only springers I enjoy are the little youth models, and the large majority of my collection is pneumatic or co2 and made in the US from the 30's-70's.
