Thank you very much my friend for your kind words! This is really challenging. The immense joy of having your first child; something I have not yet been blessed to experience, then the sudden, very deep loss of your father. Extremely sorry for your loss here. No words are adequate.
I am very grateful at the same time that you have your newborn child to love and cherish!
Also, I'm sorry about the disappointment you're feeling about this new Thedi (although it was some time back that you received it). Maybe try giving it a couple light coats of "Horseman's One Step" or "Urad - Tenderly". Either one will provide a significant improvement in "hydration" of the leather, quite similar to what a good hand cream does for our hands. See if that might help boost this otherwise very nice Thedi jacket.
My dad's passing was really sudden and unexpected as he was young and healthy and strong. Living in a different country it is a big shock receiving a phone call late on a Sunday evening from my mom...
The birth of a child is something that cannot be described. I was present at the delivery room and witnessing a small creature popping up suddenly, taking its first breath and letting its first cry is the most important experience in life. A real wonder.
You realize that having experienced these events in less than a year (plus a surgery I underwent with a recovery going worse than planned) the last thing I would lose any sleep over is a jacket, or a scratch in my car, or a stain in my boots!
I wholeheartly wish you to experience. It is never too late, I became father late in life. When my dad was my age I was 17 and my sister 19!something I have not yet been blessed to experience
