Money is no object for me with regard to jackets but I have a psychological barrier - I can't bring myself to pay the money being asked for most leathers these days. If I were to find a jacket in a thrift shop, say, I would hope it would be an Aero long Herc in goat.

I understand. As it turns out I’ve sold every custom made jacket I ever owned and found equal, if not better fits in second hand or vintage found oddities market. I’ll never go full boat on a custom again. Sadly they failed to bring the grail home by any means. Not even close. That’ said I don’t think such a thing exists. It’s always what’s next. Never what is. Regardless the $ or thought invested.

Great thread idea! I would probably go for a brown Freewheelers La Brea, preferably in this medium/red brown that they did a while back.

If not this, then probably a Good Wear A2 or a B6 from RMC.

Money no object, I think I'd try an ELC Devon fleece Irvin. Not certain I'd like it or wear it that much, but hey monies no object so it can just sit in the closet and look pretty.

It’s not money, but the struggle with the uncontrollable urge to purchase another jacket that I don’t really need. The conflict - unloading jackets to streamline the collection, yet rationalizing getting another new one that’s going to meet some new criterion that I'll soon forget about after the jacket arrives.

Ramble over - Himel. Custom Imperial or Frobisher. Typing up my customary pre-order barrage of nitpick questions and mod requests. I really don’t want to order though but the impulse is strong. If I’m lucky I won’t receive a timely response.

Had to think long and hard on this question. After receiving my 59’er highwayman from Aero a while back I haven’t had any urges to even look at jackets. The 59’er really rounded out my little collection and might be my last one.

But if money wasn’t an issue I’d order another grizzly from Aero in black mid-weight leather and Golden Fleece.
