WIDEBRIM's Ties: 4th Batch for 2013

Widebrim

I'll Lock Up
Three more for your viewing pleasure:

(l to r): First is a wonderful, classic horse necktie, labeled "Hand Painted" on the inside of the front blade. Background is sort of a copper/mustard combination. Feels like rayon, measures 50" long by 4" wide; has a few pinholes on the back of the front blade. ($8)

Next is a superb, knot-planned Superba Cravat, originally sold by The Bethel Clo. Co. of Canon City, CO. Has dark maroon background, with leaf brocade, and maroon/silver leaf motif. Feels like rayon, measures 49" by 4". ($7)

Last is a '30s, hand tailored Cheney Cravat. The inside lining has a stamp on it which states, "Licensed Under U.S. Patent [lists two of them] Feb. 27-Mar. 13 1923." Tie is in excellent condition, with a beautiful "chile" red, maroon, and beige color combination. Measures just under 48" long by 33/4" wide; might be an early example of acetate. ($7)
