This is a Willis and Geiger reproduction WWII A-2 style bomber jacket, size 40, (Medium to Medium Large) in great condition.
A faithful reproduction of the famous horsehide leather jackets worn by US fighter and bomber pilots during World War 2. Not a cheap modern 'blousy' knock-off version. Made by a maker known for quality, who actually made jackets for the US during WW2.
This particular jacket was made in the 1980s (its a true Retro) to WW2 patterns.
Leather is in great vintage condition with a gorgeous patina and chocolaty colour, looks just like an original 1940s jacket. No patches have ever been sewn onto this jacket. The cuffs and wasitband are in great condition and the zipper works well.
There are a few scuff marks on the sleeves, just above the cuffs (see photos). The interior silk-nylon lining of the jacket is in great condition with little signs of wear. Very comfortable and wearable jacket.
Measurements:
Arm length from top of shoulder to end of cuff, 25 inches.
Zipper length, 22.5 inches.
Bottom of collar to bottom of jacket, 25 inches.
Shoulder to shoulder, 18 inches.
Chest Armpit to armpit, 21 inches.
For reference, model in the photos is approx 5'10 and weighs approx 160 pounds. Theres room for a light sweater underneath. It is a military fit, its supposed to be a bit trim in the fit of the jacket. Sorry 'big' guys!
