WTB: Fedoras, 7 3/8...more inside

I'm new to fedora wearing and am ready to get my hands on some fur felts. I've been experimenting with wool felts to get a feel for what I like vis-a-vis crown height and brim size. So here goes...


My head measures 23" (7 3/8)...it's a long oval but I think I can stretch a regular fedora just by wearing it. I'm looking for a crown height of 3 and 1/2" to 4 and 1/2" and a brim of 2". Prefer dark grey or perhaps a brown.

If anyone has a fedora(s) matching the above descriptions, please let me know!

I have an Italian stingy brim you might like. It's a very light brown velour. It's a bit too small for me, and I've decided that I want a brown western instead, or I'd be keeping it. I'm almost a 7-1/2, so it's a tad shy of my noggin.

Once you go furfelt, there is no going back Leamas.

Keep a look out for Resistol "Kitten Finish" or Pilgram "Sable finish" hats, both are especially luxurious felts of fine texture and smooth feel. ( Of course Dobbs, Stetson, Cavanagh and Knox etc are also good)
