Thanks for the sizing "scottyrocks"
And I agree totally about "playing" with the crown. I think that was some of the great things about 30's hats. The bash was always individual to the owner ( as I heard somewhere they were mostly sold open crown ) I do want an Akubra Fed, especially for the price ( hmm wonder what would happen if you re-pounced the felt ) I had a christys adventurer that really let me down with a LOT of taper and even wrinkle point around the base of the brim/crown.
So I brought a vintage Herbert Johnson, very Indy in Sable but with a 2 1/2 inch brim all the way around ( with a pentagon shaped red crest in the liner if any one can tell me about that please help) Three vintage Lock fedoras and a couple of vintage boxed fedoras. So I'm in the market to buy a new made Hat so to say. I like the Abubra grey Fed though...quite a lot.

Thanks again for the measurments!

Gumbo.

That is a really nice color and the ribbon is just right for it.

Yesterday & today.... Resistol Double X with the crease changed from cattleman to teardrop..

Looks great with that ribbon color John. Very nice box-bow.

This is a new-for-me borderline stingy, a "Bourse-Cellini" Fifteen.
