David; I am impressed. Very sweet hat.

Thank you, Eric. I think the ArtLite felt makes a really nice hat and Mr Fawcett's workmanship is guaranteed to produce a hat that we are proud to wear.

So, I graduated from high school last night! Very exciting, very sad. Now comes the good part: graduation presents. My dad has agreed to get me a VS, so Art will be hearing from me some time soon. A beautiful hat made my a master, what else could a guy ask for? I'm looking forward to receiving and showing everyone here on The Lounge.

Congratulations, David!
Our daughter graduated from highschool this time last year, so we know first hand what a special event this is.

Nice of you dad to get you a VS hat as a present - it will be something you can treasure for the rest of your life.

Just sent the VS conformer back to OR in the mail! Thanks to all who have posted their handsome works of Art on here for us to view. It certainly helps us new comers start in the right direction!!

Someone should start a "Conformer" thread, consisting solely of these goofy-but-excited-and-happy self-portraits with the plastic contraption. That'd be cool.

Someone should have the presence of mind to take a pic of himself wearing this contraption paired with an elegant suit and a very serious expression on his face.
Or possibly a very serious John-Cleese-I'm incapable-of-thinking-expression. :D

The above pic has been posted on the 2012 Fedora Fest thread but I wanted to re-post it here.

WOW.

The hat that Art Fawcett is wearing just plain oozes class! Very dstinguished looking hat on a daper fellow. I love this hat. The colors, textures, the open weave of the straw, ribbon details, dimensions - everything just speaks CLASS.

Some hats just make you say WOW. Best Eric -

WOW.

Excuse me while I wipe the dribble off the front of my shirt. What a fantastic weave. And the ribbon color, together with the felt...mojave, I guess.
Thanks for re-posting this, Eric!

It would interesting to see if there is an increase in "dualist" orders in the near future. It has certainly earned a spot on my wish list! I only own a few hats and my wish list is quite extensive but that's beside the point. ;-)

WOW is right. But then we'd expect the master to design great hats for himself. That's why we many of us trust him to pretty much do what he wants.

And you can´t go wrong with it! Every change or alteration is on the spot and I would even order a hat from him without giving any spec´s at all.

Thanks Art!:eusa_clap

ggmagic, I could have used that hat today! I went for a nice walk around the lake with my tightly woven panama and I couldn't get a breeze to cool me off. I actually ended up holding my hat for much of the walk just to cool my head!

Was this a Panama Bob hat that Art blocked? Please give us the details. A true work of Art indeed.
