Twice in the last month I have seen what must be a new neighbour returning from work wearing a quality big broad brimmed hat. I am guessing it is either a Stetson a la Justified style or maybe even a light coloured Akubra Coober Pedy.

I was wearing my Tablelands this tme around. Sometime we will have to me up face to face. It is good to have company.

Many great sightings in my area lately.

Most controversial, saw a stingy worn by a male driver who honked his horn at me as I stood with my daughter in front of her Fitness Center. She's a very fit (twenty-something yrs. of age) personal trainer herself, and wasn't convinced as I was that the honk was at me, or my hat. HMmmmmmm. Sorry, No pictures.

Spoke to my neighbour today as he was walking home. He is wearing an Akubra Lightening Ridge. Nice hat.

I was wearing my new Panamadirect Havana style.

I ran into the same gentleman from this post : http://www.thefedoralounge.com/show...ou-see-today&p=1506643&viewfull=1#post1506643 again a few weeks ago at a local jazz/funk club where my buddies were playing. He was wearing his vintage Borsalino Alessandria and dancing up a storm with all the ladies in there! I was wearing my Falcon Park "Lawless" reproduction, and he immediately came up to me and we started talking serious hats. What a character! He was only missing a few teeth. This apparently very well travelled guy (been to all the states in the US, and even ran for mayor once) was very, very impressed with Parker's work, and I gladly gave him Parker's business card. He hoped to give him a call (he doesn't use the internet) and "order a hat for me" to which I replied something along the lines of "Then I'll have to order one for you!" Since then I've seen him riding his bicycle around downtown, striking up conversations with anyone and everyone.

I was at Wal-Mart (of all places) this evening and saw a very distinguished looking older black gentleman (who may not have been that much older than me) in a Panama, a striking three-piece suit (sort of a micro houndstooth check fabric) and red bow-tie. I was two customers behind him at the checkout and made it a point to compliment him on his attire. I told him I really liked his suit and that it was refreshing to see someone dressed up in public because so few people dress up for anything anymore. He thanked me for the compliment, but looked rather puzzled, as if he wasn't sure if I were sincere or just messing with him. Having just left my workplace, I was dressed in my usual tattoo shop attire: khaki Dickies work pants, a plain black t shirt, and chucks. I suddenly felt underdressed.

Thought I'd breathe some life into this thread.

Saw 3 yesterday. A black trilby that looked like black fur felt. Quality looked good but I was some distance away. A brown fur felt fedora and a really cool looking black cherry with an approx 1 1/2 inch black ribbon.

All in Twickenham England. Anyone on here's?

At a Whole Foods store yesterday I couldn't help but compliment a young mom on her son of approximately three years of age, who was seated in her shopping cart wearing a cloth fedora. She was properly proud of her little "SHARP DRESSER!"

"He picked it out himself," she boasted.
I told her if that was the case, she definitely had a hat guy on her hands... Then she added that she really liked my (VS Oxblood) and that my comment meant a lot, as she gestured toward the VS.
ALL GOOD!

There were other Fedoras also yesterday, but none as well sported.

A Sunday morning wander through Faversham (there was a small bric-a-brac market on) revealed two fur/wool felt fedoras, a leather Australian style hat, two tweed trilbies (both downbrim), three nice looking 8-panel caps, two flat caps, a good number of watch hats/wooly wonders and sadly one ugly ball cap. It's quite a small town...

I was at a fall craft festival earlier this month where I saw about a dozen nice fedoras among the crowd (including my own head of course)! I think the fedora is starting to make a comeback! :D
