Man, I think I'd have to go in there with cash. As in, a limited amount of what I know I could afford. Or have a buddy-system to govern the use of my credit card - I think it'd be dangerous for me to go in there alone with it. I mean, look at that stuff! Oh my. And if someone's there walking around with booze as well... and then the little voice pipes up: "Aw, go on. You'll never get another chance ... Not like this .... You know you won't. Go on.... there you are. There's the A2. My precious."

Wow.
Not sure whether I should be extremely happy, or sad seeing that.
Happy that I'm not collecting a dozen jackets that I'd never wear, or sad that I can't participate.

We've now closed our doors for today, our Grand Theft Aero Sale has been a phenomenal success! We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made it along, we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. It's been a lot of fun, and been lovely to meet so many customers.

We're taking the evening off for a well deserved rest, but tomorrow we'll be getting the listings for the web sale ready. There's still a great selection which will be available for those of you who didn't make it in person, from tomorrow evening there will be a downloadable PDF available on our news page with a list of what will be made available from approx. 9am on Monday morning.

Many, many customers have asked us today if this will be an annual event, and while we hope that we'll never encounter such levels of theft (or any!!) within our company ever again, we are going to seriously think about planning an annual open day/event in a similar vein.

Thanks from myself, and all at Aero.

Holly

The Calders and all the staff made for a welcoming visit. Some of the staff were on the workfloor and were happy to discuss what goes in to sewing up an Aero. The smell in the factory is just gorgeous.
It was fairly busy but well mannered. The biggest hassle was getting some mirror time. I came away with a re-labelled Teamster. Just about the exact opposite of what I went for. A fine day out.

Aren't the Calders among the nicest you could ever encounter? Be sure to post pics of your newly acquired Teamster that will not disappoint!

What Holly didn't mention was that there was a queue outside the building at opening time that stretched the length of the factory and up the road! I didn't arrive til after the initial mayhem, but it was still hot, hot, hot!
Lovely to meet fellow Loungers Rocketeer, Willy and Breezer, enjoy a beer and a chat, there may have been others but they didn't reveal themselves to me.
Left with a Merino wool Arran sweater, pair of LVC t-shirts (£10 a throw!), a pair of Lee 1930s archive jeans, and a brace of Aero mugs. Not too shabby...
