Wait! Wait! Are you the guy who assaulted him and then got decked??? You rascal, you! :D

No, that was Buzz Aldrin, as Zombie pointed out. Long story short, one fall my wife and I went to several area festivals. Mr. Glenn was running for reelection. We ran into him at several festivals, to the point of distraction. And I don't mean, "Hey, isn't that John Glenn over there?" I mean turning around and finding him 2" from my elbow, plowing into one of his secret service detail when I turn a corner. We couldn't get away from him.

I may have been triggered from bringing up this memory, in fact. I think I need to sit down with a cold compress. Maybe a puppy.

We'll be here all week.

Try the veal. And don't forget to tip your waitresses.

Ok. Question #2. Where's everyone from? I'm out here in southern Cali and nobody wears real hats.

SW Ohio. Boogie Wonderland.

I have hats but I hardly wear them. It feels so weird in public since nobody wears them. All I see are snapbacks. And it doesn't help that I'm an introvert.

Get up every morning, put on a hat and take a picture of yourself. Post it to the lounge. After a few days, you won't be self-conscious any more. Zombie's advice above is spot on. We've all gone through that stage.

Good morning guys.

Good morning! A study in cream and white!

A rare late morning allows me to get a shot using actual sunlight for a change. I want to thank mmbarnes for the inspiration to wear this hat and ofcoursemyhorse for allowing me to purchase this wonderful hat from him. Some of the most malleable felt I've touched and such a pleasure to wear.

Thanks. I'm participating in Movember, though my wife isn't a fan of the facial hair. It'll be coming off in December. Our office took before shots of all participants and they're going to award prizes for best mustache, best overall facial hair, etc., at the end of the month. I doubt I'll place in any of the categories, but it's a worthwhile cause and the office matches all contributions.
I admit I'm looking forward to breaking out my 170+ year old Tally-Ho straight and getting a good shave, thought it's fun to take a break for a while.

Just go for it. Jump in and wear your hats. You can't worry about others not wearing hats. If you like them, then wear them. I think most of us were in your place at one time.

ETA: I Just started really wearing hats this year in about July or August. Looking back, I realize even though I always loved hats I just didn't wear them because (1) I was vain in that I didn't want to mes up my pretty, curly hair... no seriously; and (2) I was concerned what others might say. I decided that was stupid, got a short haircut more appropriate for my age, LOL, and stopped using hair gel for fear it would mess up the liners in my hats. Only now has my wife started to say things about the number of hat boxes in the "spare" bedroom...

Look at that pretty boy! LOL.

Esther – Great dimensions on that hat.

Danielle – I colori sono spectaculare.

Bolero – That’s how you Myagi wishes he looked like.

Hato – Gorgeous. I think it is a Borsalino day.

1Mach – Awesome. Those seem to be the dimensions of my Gannon. That is the look I wanted. Beautiful.

Strapped – We are looking mighty elegant these days. Nice ensemble as usual.

RJR – Looks like you are in your element.

I'm in my Borsalino "Tasso" this morning.

Lobbia Borsalino in a cold morning for the week dedicated to "Antica Casa di Alessandria" production
6ymwb6.jpg

It arrived from Italy in bad condition. It was sold in Bratislava (Czech Republic)
nr16z5.jpg

The paper label was ripped and it not readable
From the liner it could be made before WWII (It is my presumption)

The color is for sure "Mirtillo" and the ribbon is original like the curled brim with some damage
BSHW did the restoration in a superb way
zmifyx.jpg

The felt is thick and very malleable

This Lobbia (as we call this type of hats) was a big dilemma because I did not know if it was worth to restore it, then color and shape convinced me.
Mirtillo (blueberry) is one of my favorite colors of Borsalino production

Thanks for the likes on the Borsalino Trionfo of yesterday
This hat is one of my favorites of yours. Love the color and the look. Very impressive!
