My first time with an English hat....in my size!

The first, a pretty Dunn made with an Austrian velour, proved to be too small for my head

The color is very intriguing, almost purple that looks cyclamen

The shape is very classic. It is part of a load of hats that arrived Friday

It is not yet quite ready, but I could not resist the temptation

Buon Lunedì!
Thank you all for your likes during the last week
Very classy looking. The clean look of that brim is nice! Great looking hat, what actual size is it?

Love this Hommie. Is it as green as it appears on my screen? Perfect lines on this one. Any idea on the age?

The hat is a light grey with a faint touch of green to it. When I got it from OCMH he was estimating it's a 30's model based on liner and tags. Wonderful dense felt on this one. The only flaws are the wear marks on the brim binding, but I'm not willing to let anyone try to fix such a slight flaw since I doubt it can be re-bound as well as the original.

A hat that I am not wearing today... reserved for a special occasion. To my knowledge, this top hat was worn only once if that. It was a custom order placed by Koch's from Crofut & Knapp on the occasion of the prior owner's wedding in 1915. Additional photos and tales on the dedicated thread, which is well worth thumbing through when you have some time.
