So it goes in the autumn with hot or cool days without logic
Today morning with cold breeze and sun almost out of the clouds, warm in the afternoon

Vintage borsalino in brown with shark gill ribbon matching the felt

"Folco" color and three zig-zag seams to finish the brim

It is another of the hats that arrive from Merano where the pleated ribbon is very represented in the field

The hat is light, just for these days

Always love to see that Mallory. This is the first time I noticed the thin ribbon style...very cool and different.
Thanks Red. Seems I have a lot of thin ribbons now.

That looks just like my Stratoliner
I don't have a Stratoliner to compare it with. It does look like my Open Roads in details, though I believe the crown might be a bit shorter.

Supposed to be the last of the hot days here today. I will be in a cap out on the bike no doubt, but for the morning it's the Royal Deluxe OR again.

Between this one and the Royal Deluxe mode edge I've been spending a lot of time in light grey hats lately. I guess the mode edge is more of a mid grey.

Your collections and presentations continue to inspire me, Michael! The lid is totally top-notch!!
Are the shoes Allen Edmonds? They appear to be the "Belgium" style, like this...

The brim stitching and shark's gill ribbon on this hat are fantastic. A great look. Glad to hear you are enjoying some good hat weather.

A weekend of intermittent internet, so I'm catching up. For the most part, I donned either the whiskey VS, or, since (because of Al Gore) it was STILL in the upper 80s to 90 degrees F, the PHD Special Reserve.

Also a weekend with three under three...

Thanks Charlie. And yes, that would be exactly what the shoes are. A rather ratty example of same.

Gorgeous OR Michael. Perfect crease, makes me want one.
Thanks Red. Try one, you'll like it.

c. 1930s Mossant Diplomatique today for a mild day.
