Looking grim for a grow-uppy "Pilgrim"age this morning. But that's just appearance. I'm really quite happy and "Cushion Comfort"able.
Thank you sir. No, not new, but not often worn. I think I got it a couple of years ago in the spring, so this is probably it's second season with me.
Wore for about 20 seconds before I fired it up today
100% beaver, sanded to 800grit, 5" crown, 5 3/8 brim. Silky smooth body!

Thanks! Got that one finished up late last night. Generally I just make them for myself as I got tired of paying $500+ for a decent hat. But I do have a "2nd" for sale in the classified. It is a 4.5" brim version of the same hat getting flamed.

I like the hats for sure. Tall straight crowns and tight pinches. It also seems that fedora styles were beginning to change in the later '30s and early 1940s. I did a conversion based on those styles.
Always makes me want to get out the Vespa & cruise listening to Steppenwolf.
