That’s a great one I don’t recall seeing before. Is that natural? Great combo…

Thanks, Randall. It's definitely growing on me. Had to take some time to get it to behave the way I wanted it to, but this is a shape I can wear it in.You already know I like that Gorusgu and Wormser, so I’m gonna put the light on that nice McAndrew. I’ve had several from the early/mid 60s and still have one and they all have really nice felt.
Proof that some of the later hats still could be had with great quality and nice proportions.
Maybe Mayser's best period. Wonderful hat, Steve.Mayser "Libelle", probably early to mid 1950s based on sold by "(Wilhelm) Zeumer 80 years" of Karlsruhe. Last time I posted photos of this was almost 4 years ago. I found this Soft Felt back in 2015.
Mayser's Hutmanufactur, February 28, 1896. Found this receipt back in 2016.

Wonderful hat, John. I can just about feel that felt. Thanks Joe!
And double thanks! The hat was actually my Game Bird, but you just gave me a perfect excuse (as if one were needed) to throw on the Rainbow!

Have a great day!
Randall, Thank you! Yes, I can barely write in crude cursive anymore. I actually have an antique ink blotter from C. G. Wilke Guben Hutfabrik / Hat Factory.Nice old hat, Steve, and great history as usual, but I’m way impressed with that cursive hand writing on the receipt!
So beautiful and elegant.
We have really went downhill as civilized people, haven’t we?
Stefan, Thanks! That was great time period for Mayser. A fantastic series of hats from you! I especially liked seeing Herbert Johnson Bowler in action!Maybe Mayser's best period. Wonderful hat, Steve.
Wonderful hats, Eric!Walkabout this morning under the brim of a Mallory - The Dallas. Soft and malleable felt on This vintage fedora has soft and malleable felt.

That is one HANDSOME hat. And quite the good looking dog, too!Just picked up this Stetson Stratoliner. Not sure of the year but I'm thinking 1960s. It has a rather tall crown of 4.5". At first I thought it was an Open Road until I found the tag under the sweatband indicating it to be a Stratoliner. Not sure when Stetson started using the little Stratoliner Airplane pin, but this certainly predates that. So, if anyone has any info as to this being an early 1960s or possibly late 1950s. What's odd is that it came with the extra liner. The one in the hat is still glued in place, so I would assume the one in the hat is the original one. Perhaps the box will give some kind of indication as to the time period.
Oh my! That's stunning!Skip-bo (card game) day with the folks. I wore my new 30s style Kings Umbrella hat for this high-stakes game. No matter who won, we all had hot dogs for dinner!
I’ve got no cooler weather clothes to match this bright hat, so i went with a clashing wardrobe.
5-3/4 inch crown, dimensional brim.
