007 - Me too!
I caught Quantum of Solace this weekend as well, and liked it.
I've long since given up comparing one to another in a series. I'm just glad they are still supporting the Ian Fleming series.
I wish they would do the same with westerns. I miss the Duke.
Cheers.

Nicely done...
I caught Appaloosa on Sunday afternoon. It was extremely well done.
Mr. Harris and his cast have done an excellent job of translating the story to the big screen.
I've read all but a few of Robert B. Parkers works and I found the feel of the dialog to be the same as if read...
Sadly...
I placed my order with Ken for a 1936 Fieldmaster back on April 13th.
Today, after much waiting and reading many posts on the wires about others ordering their hats after mine and receiving their hats some time ago, I dropped Ken a note asking that my order be cancelled and my funds...
Translating the story...
Daniel Jones.
I agree with you in hoping that Harris has successfully translated the feel of story to the big screen.
From what I understand, Mr. Parker is pretty picky who he will let play around with his work. I believe I read that he was quite impressed with Ed...
Ice cold Coke...
I'm not sure if anyone has hit on this one yet, but I miss those old school Coke machines.
I could put in my dime and fish out an ice cold bottle of my favourite.
Regards.

Authenticity
I'm given to understand that, in planning ahead for the filming of this movie, Mr. Harris had a custom gun rig made for him by Will Ghormley.
Mr. Harris wanted to have the rig handy to practice in order to make his gun draw as real as possible on film.
I can't wait to see how...
Or you could try...
Give Roy Jackson at Jaxonbilt Hats a call or send him an email.
He has custom made three cowboy hats for me. One of them in silverbelly.
I know he would be happy to make you any style you want.
Cheers.

It's Ed Harris and Robert B. Parker...
Ed Harris is leading a cast of pros through the first installment of Robert B. Parker's western trilogy. What could be better?
Mr. Parker is the master behind the Spenser and Jesse Stone novels. These have been brought to life on the small screen by...
Smith & Wesson
What's not to like?
Smith & Wesson continues to put out a fine line of firearms that caters to both semi-auto and wheel-gun lovers.
They have even put out a retro line of some of their previously popular revolvers in the "Classics" line.

Not a fan of safe queens
I really enjoy having the choice of taking any of my pistols to the range.
My Colt Trooper Mk III, Smith & Wesson 586, Sig P226 or my SAA's are all great fun to shoot.
The big kid in me just won't have a toy that I can't play with. Besides, aren't stamps and coins...
