I have the hemp stratoliner in navy with grey. I love it! The brim is not very stiff at all, and difficult to shape. Took me 3 or 4 steamings to get the left side a little straighter and higher with the right side sloping down a little lower. But it looks great now.

Got a Borsalino Bogart Cut 1. I'm stunned just how different it is from my Stetson Temples, how clay-like and easy to shape it is. I got a 60cm/ a 7 1/2 like my Stetsons and Baileys. But it feels a size smaller. Sits much higher on my head, and the crown is taller than my other hats also, so...
Anyone have any experience with straw stetson open roads? I haven't ever tried one of yet. My preference for hats is definitely with the brim turned down. I've talked to some with fur open roads that snap down beautifully, but I'm wondering if the straw ones work the same?

Just picked up my first Stratoliner. It's the Navy and grey hemp one: I know nothing about the different straw materials and was hesitant to go for hemp, because I'd only ever seen Millan, or shantung most the time. But I loved the color and the grey accents
