Just got me this cap. Made in 1983 in the Soviet Union! It is grey wool, with typical Soviet features of a black artificial leather sweatband (not great, but not absolutely horrid) and rayon lining. I can't get enough of Soviet lining material for some reason, I find it just great!

Personally, nothing beats a vintage, so I would wait for a nice oldie to show up. You could probably find I nice vintage one for cheaper than that even, if you are vigilant!
