What movie was this Tiget Tank mockup built for?

Don't know but glad to see this instead of those dreadful US Patton or Chaffee tanks usually painted up to serve. I can only recall that Kelly's Heroes made any real attempt to use a Tiger 1, real or mock up, and it was very good. The dreadful "Battle of the Bulge" was spoiled by faked up US tanks as was "When Trumpets Fade". Is it that big a deal to make a decent mock up? Even plywood and sheet metal would be better than just painting a Balkan Kreuz on the turret of a US tank.

Well behind the front lines!
I found someone on another forum who knew what it was. It was a TV pilot called, "Sam's Circus" from 2001. I can't find much online about it, but I did find some video here:
I hope someday, someone will release the pilot as I can only assume there are scenes with this excellent Tiger mockup.
But as for prior movies with bad German armor, I still don't understand why the Russian movie, "White Tiger" built a MKVI that is probably the best replica German tank ever built, but they instead used a crummy shell atop a Russian tank instead...
This is the replica they made form the ground up:

But this is instead what you saw in the finished film:

That replica is wonderful. Hope it still exists for some future project.

I have no idea what happened to it. Being that they made the thing in Russia, I'd be willing to bet that you, too, could have one if you threw enough coin at them...
You ain't lying there brother.

As for fakey German Armor in movies... "Battle of the Bulge" was the worst. I don't which was worse the tanks or the History? Still as bad as American Tanks mocked up to look like Tigers may be... nothing and I mean NOTHING is as bad a s P-51 Mustangs painted up to look like Me-109's. Something done routinely during and after the war.

How about the Spanish0-built ME-109s standing in for P-51s in the movie, "Patton"? Many people never noticed but there's a flight of them painted as US planes in that movie!
