Last week, the Thrift Store Milan, my wife, and I had to bolt the baseball game in the 8th (and we were winning!). Thanks to smartphones, we knew the thunderstorm was imminent. Still got caught in it, though.

Akubra CD's first rain shower...
I'm impressed!
I did notice the bad part of this teardrop crease is that water will pool at the top in the gullies.
Have plans to re-bash this weekend to make a taller crown height. Also try a simpler diamond crease.

It finally rained in California and my old OR held up fine. Kept my hair, what little is left, nice and dry after a 1/2 hour stroll.

Regrettably, I don't have a photo, but my hat was just caught in the worst rainstorm I've ever been in. It's soaked through! How long do you suppose it will take to dry fully?

I think Cindy's advice on the other thread is spot on. We're normally told to let it dry resting on its crown (so as not to flatten the brim). Since it's as wet as you say, you might want to flip the sweat band out to prevent it from shrinking.

My thick-ish felt soaked hats usually take a good 2 days to dry at room temperature.
