Ok I need some advice.
I stretched a hat and the stitching separated at the seam of the sweatband of a thrift shop find.
Is it repairable?

Goodwill.com operates a lot like eBay as far as the auctions go. Never paid a buyer premium before. The amount "donated" was just the right number to round up the purchase to the next even dollar. This is the first time (to my knowledge, I'll have to look at old transactions) that they have done this.

No, I checked on that Knox and it was marked as a 6-1/2. I never knew hats were made smaller than 6-7/8!

. Now to make matters worse they were only asking $59 for the Stetson......so it was a deal to begin with but they just had to switch tags to get it even cheaper.......really really makes me mad

Last week I was trolling some of my usual antique haunts when I ran across a JC Penney Marathon from the fifties, fair condition, clearly tagged a 7 1/4. Now this is a booth that sports vintage clothing.....so far no problem....THEN I look at the tag and it reads Stetson Stratoliner gives some details including the store that originally sold it and appears unworn, very clean..etc.....including size 7 3/8..........Booth mistake? NO....unequivocally...NO...they had too much detail that did not at all match the Marathon.......someone just wanted the Stetson for a cheaper price and switched the tags....
People are such total JERKS sometimes......And of course a hat is a hat to the front counter....they never noticed....which is their fault too........

No....it was pretty stained and soiled....though the felt WAS in good shape......did not want another project hat for myself....though for the guy that wanted to distress his hat.....
