That jacket looks fantastic. I've been looking for a cross zip and really like the looks of yours. Wasn't on my radar until now. I'm now on the hunt. Thanks.
Look up posts by @dudewuttheheck about his Vanson C2, and maybe his Youtube piece on it. Just an awesome jacket, his is rarer because the hide has more grain. Most C2s are smooth cowhide. Such lovely jackets, totally under the radar (except, apparently, in Japan).

Just came in today. Saw this High Large trucker months ago in the classifieds. Found the money and the seller, now mine. Size 44. Will hang with my Fine Creek trucker.

Vintage Vanson C2 just came in. This may be the best-patterned Perfecto-style jacket out there. Soo comfortable. Perfect length. The cowhide is thick and soft. TFL-ers looking for a nice cross-zip really should give the C2 a chance. @dudewuttheheck has already showed what a great jacket it is, for not a lot of dinero. Weirdly, a lot used ones come out of Japan; new ones can be had from Vanson..

Good looking jacket, Been looking semi-seriously for a C-2 for awhile, on the pre-owned market. I see a few but finding a size 50-52 has proven difficult as is in most cases. May consider having Vanson build me one.

Yes, for some reason C2s are a lot easier to find in Japan. That's where I found mine. Totally agree with you, it's a brilliant cross zip pattern. Congrats on finding one, fit looks absolutely nailed down!

I see loads of these available on eBay and I'm often tempted but haven't yet taken the plunge.

Any other comments on this style?

Very nice, thick, grainy and soft hand, goat on the two I’ve handled. Also very nice construction, clean and aesthetic stitching. Way nicer than expected for workwear.
There were civilian versions of these and there were jackets issued as part of a work uniform. The one Marc has was issued to workers on the subway in Stockholm sometime between 1967 and 1977.
This design was first used by brewery workers way back in the late 1800’s/early 1900’s. They’re therefore nicknamed “brewer’s tailcoat”.

It's great to be able to wear a piece of history.
