Thanks and likewise. Looks like a fun bike to ride.

Cooler today so I wore the Chopper but it has been hot here in TX. Just brought this one up from the back of the closet. It and the Green LW vest will take center stage for summer riding.

It is fun for sure. That Vanson is stunning. Was recently looking at a Fox Creek vest/sleeveless jacket. I am in Florida and the weather broke this week, hot.

Was surprisingly cool today so I pulled out the Chopper. It's my favorite jacket because it feels like a suit of armor and I feel both more confident and damn near invincible wearing it. It also reminds me of the jacket my grandfather wore growing up. Still hope to find a copy of that same model jacket someday, as my older brother inherited the original.

After quite a bit of searching, and never finding a vintage leather M/C design jacket that actually fits me, I now have one in hand. Or rather, on my back. Un-lined Bates Competition, padded, estimated 1950's I am 6' 1" tall and 195 lbs, so this was rather surprising!

Nice! The gamble definitely paid off.

What size is that? Bates run small and it will help my search. Gracias.

JMax - yes it did. I'll do a more full review of it soon with more detailed photos. There are no tags - and no lining at all. But it's sized like a "46" if I had to say. It is getting several treatments of conditioner over over the next several days. IT was Dry, but not too far gone. Very thick leather, still uncertain if it's steer or horse, but it has a lot of grain and has been very well pre-loved.

I do miss some things about FL, the heat+humidity certainly isn’t one of them.

I do keep an eye out for the Fox Creek vest based on a CR. Pricing is usually nice but most have been too small. Fox Creek, US Made, etc make good vests.

If it is sized like a 46 it’s at least a 48/50 or custom job. Bates are sized like Bizarro Vanson. It’s beautiful.
