I've got a G-1 jacket from flightjacket.com that's missing its original mouton collar. Is there anywhere I can buy a new collar and attach it myself, or (maybe preferable) anywhere I can send the jacket to have one attached?
Thanks!
I really like almost everything about this jacket, but I couldn't find any other information about it.
The Lost Worlds site tells me it was in production for the Army Air Corps in the early '30s. Is this an actual historical jacket, and does anyone else make a reproduction/similar item?
Whenever I'm browsing a vintage store, there seem to be two corduroy fedoras for every felt. You know the kind I mean, the stingy brim, often brown, green, or cross-patterned. I assume there's so many of them because they're newer and therefore more prevalent than the felt hats I'm shopping for...
Not sure how many of you are Star Wars fans, but I got a rather strange idea the other day when my friend showed me this.
Now I would never wear a hoodie, but what if the same thing could be done with a leather jacket? I'm thinking of a nondescript gray leather jacket with layers of green...
I say inexpertly because sometimes my 'do-it-yourself' instinct goes too far. The brim on this rabbit Adventurebilt has been trimmed down to 2" for that stingy-brim/high crown look. It's not a perfect job, but for my first try I'm rather proud of it. See the photo for a good look at the brim...
For sale is a light gray Mallory in 7 1/4 that I received from a fellow lounger last year, but that just doesn't fit now that I keep my head shaved.
In good condition barring some moth bites, five in total, but none that create actual holes. There's two on the crown sides, one on the front...
So I was eying an Aero Long Half-Belt, but frankly I just don't really care for the waxy, slick look their horsehide has. The photo in the steerhide section doesn't really do it much justice, so I was wondering if anyone has a brown steerhide from Aero they wouldn't mind showing off.

So I've heard the terms "stingy" and "wide" tossed around a lot in relation to brim width, and just thought I'd ask if you all have an opinion as to when one ends and the other begins. Do you consider there to be one absolute stingy brim length that when added to by an 1/8 inch becomes "normal"...
Greetings all,
I've been looking for the perfect hat for a couple months, ever since I sat down with my father to watch his Humphrey Bogart collection. I stumbled across this site in my searching, which led me to my first two purchases on ebay. I've enjoyed goggling at all your fine headgear...
