I am thinking about reblocking my hat. It is a rabbit felt fedora. I bought it two years ago and back then it was too tapered for my taste (and I believe for your's too). After too years of molesting it I decided that it is time for a professional help. To give you the idea of what I want to do...
I bought a gray Akubra Federation some six months ago. But I did not wear it much since.
My head is size 60 so I ordered size 60. It turned out to big tooooo big. When I putted those foam peaces that come with the hat it made it wearable. But it still looks waaaaaay to big for my head.

What was the hat etiquette on this subject back in the days when hats were common?
If you kiss a girl (woman) on the street do you take your hat off first?
Bow is traditionaly on the left side of the hat. Why?
Is it some kind of statement; like men wear it on the left side and women on the right or something like that?
When did this start?
How do I know weather I am a long oval, oval or what ever there is.
I am a size 60 (7 1/2) but when I put on my hat (size 60) I can feel that there are small gaps on the sides. They dissapear when I pull my hat tightly on my head.
Is there some way of measuring what kind of head a person has?
Reverse taper, no taper or taper. What is your choise?
I personaly love how hat with the reverse taper looks from the profile. But I am not always such a big fan of center creases.
Are shoes for women the equivalent to hats for men.
I saw a show in wich women talk about shoes. The tone of the conversation was familiar to me. Then I remembered. Fedora lounge. The same apritiation and affection.
What do you think?
There is a short movie on Discovery about Leonardo Da Vinci. It shows a man on a field doing some experiment with a mirror. I guess that it is supposed to be Leonardo Da Vinci. The man in the movie wears a brown fedora. Is that possible? Were there fedoras in his time?
I saw some nice hats the other day. They are something like fishing hats just with wider brim. The problem is that they are very flexable. They have no shape.
Is there any way of using stiffener to make them rigid?
I never did anything of this nature so could use some practical advice.
What is better way of shaping a fedora? I never used blocks so I have no idea how it works but forming a shape with your hands is not hard at all.
Are blocks used only when you want to get the same shape over and over again?
Fedora lounge seems to be a place for mostly people in their 30's and 40's but I still think you can answer this. Do you wear a hat when you go out.
Here are couple of problems.
First: What do you do if the bar where you go out has no rack for hats and no place where you could leave it? Do...
Is it posible to rapair holes in a fedora? My hat is developing a small tear in the place where crown and brim meet in front of the hat. It is probably becouse I fliped the brim down in front.
But what will happen next? Will that turn into a hole? If that happens is there anything I can do...
What was the most common color of the fedora back in the days when it was popular?
All the movies from that period are in black and white and it is hard to tell. I am imagening them all in grey and maybe brown.
Was any other color available for the mases?
Last seven days I spent on the coast of Lake Ohrid. And I have an interesting story to tell to all of you fedora lovers.
Me and my friends needed to come to this place that was 5km away from Ohrid and we did not know the way to get there. So we figured that we should hire a cab to get us there...
Let's face it, in today's world there is not much place for fedoras. Hats are mostly forgoten and only several kinds of hats are widely acceptable. Let's change it.
What is a good hat that kinda looks like a fedora but that can be used today as everyday hat. That hat needs to be practical as...
The question is simple. How old should you be to start wearing a fedora?
I am 22 and people always tell me: Take that hat off, you are too young for it.
Is there such thing as being too young for a fedora?
Hi guys. I am new here. Actualy I was directed here from the Raven bar. I have a question for you.
Recently I bought a fedora. I shaped it to resemble Indiana Jones's. But at the Raven I saw a avatar that had an interesting shape of a fedora, and now I would kinda like to shape my hat to that...
