    Not Like New... Like Vintage!

My mom taught me to sew when I was... a lot younger. ;) Came in REAL handy when I went into the USAF. I can still hem pants or fix a seam and sew buttons. I wouldn't want to tackle trying to make a shirt or pants, at least until the aforementioned zombie apocalypse, as I am sure they wouldn't...

What type of Unit/Army are you interested in?

Bomber crews. The idea of climbing into something big and slow that, for the most part, offers protection the thickness of a beer can with no place to hide once spotted...

Without a doubt it was The Civil War by Ken Burns.

    Fallout 3

At level 5 you can still get your character where you want it. Just roleplay it as getting your head together after the shock of your emergence from the vault. :D I've played Bioshock through several times. Great game. Haven't got Bioshock2 yet but it's on my to get list. I'll wait for a...

Lounger getting lost in american graffitti

Nothing wrong with finding a bit of escapism in something that takes you away from the big bad world and makes you comfortable. Me? It's my movie collection or a nice violent video game. But you can't live there. Else it becomes as unhealthy as the percieved things that drive you there...

    Fallout 3

The most important thing to character development is to know what you want to be from the beginning (gunner, brawler or sneak) and stick with it. A decent beginners guide with some good info can be found here: http://www.gamesradar.com/f/fallout-3-basic-leveling-guide/a-2008111193014891007 A...

Watched Brazil again last night. Some good looking suits and hats in that flick.

    Fallout 3

I was really hoping to get a chance to play RDR but looks like Rockstar isn't going to release a PC version. Pity, that.

    Fallout 3

The release of the Broken Steel DLC pack changed the ending, allowing you to keep playing after completing the main quest, and upped the level cap to 30 from 20. Depending on your play style, it is still easy to max out your character, but you can stay in the CW for as long as you like.

    Fallout 3

I never played Morrowind, I think I might have to get it now. I played Oblivion, the main reason I got it was all the folks saying that Fallout 3 was Oblivion with guns. I really enjoyed it. The fast travel thing is an ongoing debate where games have large worlds. Typically I don't use it...

    Fallout 3

I hear that. I had close to 300hrs invested in Fallout 3 and the 4 DLC packs. But, as my wife says, at least she knows where I am... ;) I had characters in all three moral bents (good, evil and neutral). Some of the moral choices were a bit ambiguous, but some of them spawned some lively...

Fallout: New Vegas Another Fallout game by Bethesda is scheduled for release this fall (Amazon lists 10/19/2010). Fallout: New Vegas. I've already got my pre-order in for the collectors edition. :)

    Barbeque

That would be us. :) Our team has never been on TV but a friends team was part of a show on BBQ competitions. And it is kinda like you describe, but it is actually just an excuse for all of us to get together and party. People who come to our booth often comment on 'how much work it is' but for...

    Barbeque

We do 5 or 6 cookoffs a year and usually have a work-party day to split our wood for each year. The wood we use is well seasoned so stripping the bark is pretty easy. Let me know what you think on the soaking! :)

    Barbeque

Our merry band thinks so. Folks noticed a change when we started using apple juice instead of water. Another trick is to strip the bark from all the wood you use. Makes a difference.

    Gin vs Vodka (Martini)

Pour a dash of vermouth in a frosted glass, swish it around and dump it out. Next the vodka, I'm partial to Tito's made right here in Texas. Chilled or not, tastes great either way. Drop in a cocktail onion. Guess that makes it a Gibson? If I am going to drink gin, it's with tonic and a...

    Bars with Atmosphere!

My favorite hangout is what most would consider a real dive. Shakespeare's Pub here in Houston. But they host the best local blues and zydeco bands, have around 10 different beers on tap on any given night, and best of all is the most diverse crowd of any place I have ever been. It is nothing to...

    Barbeque

+1 Patience and consistent temperature. A lot of folks are amazed when you tell them it takes about 12 hrs to do a brisket right. We use oak with the occasional stick of pecan or mesquite soaked in apple juice. And if you want a half friendly verbal bashing at one of our cook offs just ASK...
