I purchased a Cavanagh about a year ago. I was completely refurbished at Falcon Park Hattery. Parker did a fantastic job getting it back up to snuff, although I just can't get used to the shorter brim (2 1/4). Size is an easy 7 1/2 (fits my 7 3/8 head with room to spare). I'd just like to get...
I'm thinking of picking up another summer hat and am looking at the Dobbs Toledo. Is this a quality hat, or should I be looking elsewhere (vintage, etc)? I can't seem to find any reviews anywhere.
I've come to realize after being on this site for a little while and doing some research that the hat that was sold to me as a Scala New Yorker is actually a Scala Addison.
Not that it's a bad hat, but now it's making me want something more like what I thought I was buying in the first...
I was in Miller Hats today and noticed a Stetson Pescara. I actually liked the way it looked and fit, but wasn't keen on the stitching all over it. Is there a hat out there similar but without all the stitching?
Thanks
I'm looking for something to wear with jeans and a shirt (collared\not collared); preferably with 2+" brim, narrow band, in brown, size 7-3/8 (nothing to western - I may live in Texas, but I'm no cowboy). I'm open to any suggestions as well.
TIA
edit - I think I'm 7-3/8. I measured my head...
After getting a Scala as my first hat I've gotten so many complements that I bought a Panama for the summer (says on the box "Manabi Montecristi"). I'm not sure if it's a great quality hat, but it looks nice, is incredibly soft, and for the price of $27 I couldn't pass it up.
When at work, how do you keep your hat if you don't have access to a hat rack? I've seen some things that could sit on a desk to keep a hat, or do you just flip it over on the crown?
TIA
I'm looking at purchasing my first "real" hat and have been looking at different styles, shapes, etc. The one that has really caught my eye is the Stetson Chatham. I still need to go into a store and try some on, but there is something about it that has just caught my fancy.
Is this a good hat...
