I have Alden and Johnson and Murphy shoes. I like the leather soles and the feel of them. However many in my office put the rubber on the bottoms completly. My shaving experience with Merkur, not good
The adjustable is much better, as you can control how close you want the blade on your skin. I just spent $11.29 for 4 turbo blades. What a rip off! This is motivating me to continue to learn the Merkur, and hopefully I will have a better time with it in a week or two. I can get 10 blades under...- Blueberry

My shaving experience with Merkur, not good
I used a Mach 3 turbo with a brush and good cream. I shaved north to south, lathered again, and went across the grain, then lathered again and went south to north. I never cut myself (hardly) and I always got a great shave. I went and got a Merkur shaver with the screw knob on the bottom...- Blueberry

thank you for your reply. I currently am using the Mach 3 Turbo which blades are easier on my face. I am aware that the Merkur does not have 3 blades, but have been told by some that they stay sharper longer (Mach 3 turbo gets 3 days of shaving for me) and that they you get a very close shave...- Blueberry

How is the Merkur shaver with their platinum blades compared to the M3. I also noticed there are several Merkur to choose from. Anyone of of them better than the other. One has a knob on the botton to reove the blades, another has a slant which is suppose to contour to your face better.- Blueberry

Gillette vrs Gillette
Re: a Safety Razor man.. The extra blades are a little closer to the beard, so they do cut closer. Some have said the first lifts the beard and the second and third cut. But again my question is in regards to this new vibrating razor. Has anyone found it better than the Mach 3 Turbo...- Blueberry

Ok, I had the Mach 3, and it was comparable to the Schick Xtreme 3 blade. Then I got a Mach 3 Turbo in the mail. Update I talked to the Art of Shaving in regards to the pre oil. They told me they I could wet my face and then add the pre shave oil. It is suppose to soften the beard.
