Know the feeling, moving here too, decluttering time... and if those hats were my size I'd be snapping them up, but I'm also nearly 58 size or 7 1/4 US, so no go sadly.
Hope someone out there gets 'em!

Don't worry avedwards, 'yob' doesn't stand for that, as it came from the word 'yobbo':
My personal definition is: someone who wishes to shelter from the rain all evening in a bus shelter because they have nothing better to do, but then decides to vandalise that same shelter while they're in...
No-one better try the lighter trick on my lovely Aero ANJ-3 I bought from the gentleman above (Edward) - I can't get over what a great snug fit it is on me, despite me being a size 38 and the label being 42.
Up where I live it's more likely to be attacked by rampaging sheepdogs and/or copious...
I think you may have answered your own question there ;) - the cheapest mass production hats don't last very well, and I think even a professional hatter might possibly be hard pushed to restore that snap to an ultra cheap fur felt. If you like (as I do) the brim down at front, then what I have...
My 50+ years old horse hide leather jacket took a simple application of Pecards Leather Dressing rather well, and looks much better for it. It doesn't leave any greasy remnants either.

I was also informed about three or four weeks ago by Aero that a leather jacket of mine needing repairs (a new waistband) would take at least two months, maybe more, as they are so busy. Eastman leather didn't even reply to my query, so they must be even busier...

Not sure what it is but I think berets always suit women with shoulder length or longer hair far more than men, crazydaisy looks fabulous there in that blue beret which I would never have said would work as a colour if I saw it on a shelf.
Got my other half a beret a few weeks back in a light...
Difficult to tell but it also looks as if whatever it was had a wider ribbon/band/leather on it, if the marks left behind are where it was stitched... [huh]
I wouldn't buy something looking like that on Ebay anyway... lol

Perhaps the US powers-that-be are waking up to the real possibility of the entire continental shelf sinking and flooding under the weight of imported rabbit felt... :D
They named that movie wrong, it should have been 'The Day After Akubra'...

Yep that already looks loads better I think. The slight actual height increase at the front, plus the deeper side bashes which visually raise the front too, make it look so much more suited to you.
Good one. ;)

To be honest you also really need to find out your exact head size too, because I've found the 'S,M,L' sizes on hats very changeable. If you're close enough to Shrewsbury or Chester, try and go there to 'The Hat Company' shops. They have a wide range of the Christy's fedora hats in lots of...
My first reaction is the obvious I suppose: 'nice hat'. Because it is!
But being more constructive, I'd suggest that the crease you've given it, while being very well done, lowers the crown height a bit too much for your face, and it looked better when the crown was higher. Maybe try a...
The pin? Maybe because I've been buying them up off Ebay... lol I now have five of them
If you're after one try typing 'twa pin' into Ebay, that's how I found them. You shouldn't have to pay more than about $15 - $20 for them. I don't think there's any on there right now, but try once...
