    Cold Cream- Brands and advice!

I have the Lavendar Eucalyptus from Cataphract...she's willing to whip up one with geranium although she just listed a grapefruit one. My head is spinning with all of the choices! I LOVE the LE, so lovely and removes makeup like crazy!!! Much less greasy I agree!

    Vintage Lipsticks, etc.?

Oh I forgot about Tangee!!! Great suggestion! :offtopic: I'm waiting for Besame to come back with new products...it's taken quite awhile!!! I hear there may be something new in a month or two...

    Vintage Lipsticks, etc.?

There are some topics on actual vintage brands as well as vintage-inspired reproduction brands...Revlon seems to be the most readily available vintage line. Coty, Max Factor (being phased out in the US) are two existing vintage lines as well. I'm sticking mainly to makeup and what I use...

    So, do you wear Sunscreen?

I use a physical sunscreen after all the stuff I read about free radicals, chemical sunblocks and the like. I have to let it dry thoroughly or my foundation sits on top of it. I honestly feel that sunscreen is the top anti-aging weapon we have. I can't believe I used to tan! :eusa_doh...

    What powder, foundation..

I was just looking at Caron's website today. I can't seem to find where they sell it though, and I'm a bit confused on what colors they offer in pressed powder. I found it on a beauty bargain site, but am still not sure what color! I'd love to try it! Can you refill the compact?

    Keeping off The Frizz

Please post how it works...I'm still learning the best technique for brushing! I have a bristle boar hairbrush with a wooden handle, but it doesn't seem to get all the way through my hair when I brush through. I gave up and threw on a snood today. I'll get it sooner or later...tonight I'm...

Am i vintage hair-disadvantaged because i have bangs?

I don't have bangs and am finding it difficult to do some of the styles I want. I'm actually thinking of putting in some bangs... What length do you ladies sport? To your eye line? lower? And Paula, I love BP bangs :) I had them myself for awhile!

    Keeping off The Frizz

I almost bought some end papers, but wasn't sure they would work with pin curls. But maybe I can get them to work. I've been experimenting with my sets and have frizz. I know a dry set can tame frizz, but I like the staying power of a wet set. I'm experimenting with "in between" and...

    *Snoods*

I just watched Gone with the Wind this weekend and Scarlett was snood-tastic. I can't seem to get it to look decent (decent meaning the way I want it to look!)...maybe if I had bangs it would be easier to style the front???

I am wearing Jean Patou's Joy today, but as spring/summer is just around the corner, I plan on ordering Caswell-Massey's Lilac fragrance. I simply adore lilac!

    *Snoods*

Lovely! I've worn my snoods and I've been getting nothing but compliments, though I did get a lunch lady, but at least they said "vintage lunch lady" haha. I plan on ordering more (htie, purple, yellow, dark green, navy, etc.). They are quite comfortable. Made from modern material, yes...

    Setting Lotion

I made the journey to Sallys this weekend and WOWZA! I spent a good penny and my pocketbook is quite a bit lighter in the money department. I actually didn't buy Lottabody, I went with another suggestion from a few tutorials on youtube by Lisa Freemont Street. I bought the Motions Wrap...

Keeping our cool in the heat!!

I'm deciding right now whether or not I want to drive up to Vegas and go to Viva, but looking at the website gallery, there are quite a few parasols out and about in the Vegas sun! I'm inspired...I just wish I knew what color I should order...suggestions? I love the red, but it doesn't seem...

    Cold Cream- Brands and advice!

cherry lips...that Jergens set is fabulous!!! Love it! I find that Jergens isn't as greasy and is easier to remove than Ponds. And the large tub is definitely more economical. I love how the three heads has been maintained on the label. Looks like it's always been a blond, dark...

If I missed an existing thread or this should be moved somewhere else, please accept my apologies...I did a google search of the forum and couldn't find an answer to my question. Do any of you ladies subscribe to a vintage lifestyle magazine? I know there is an online magazine about to...

    *Snoods*

After another darling review from Lisa Freemont Street, I caved and ordered two snoods from Va Va Va Voom on Etsy. I'm excited to give them a try, especially on not-so-great-pin-curl days...which for me has been quite commn recently. I ordered a deep red and a black. I'd like to get cream...
