  4. Roberto Isola: a great guy with a great pencil mustache! I first met him years ago through Ben McGinty. (Do you know Ben, seabass? He used to be one of Southern California's best vendors of vintage menswear.)

I cosign seabass. I've purchased from Roberto back when his garage was his studio. Amazing stuff! He recently had a vintage fashion show out in SF a few weeks back. If I'm not mistaken, this tie was there.

  6. Roberto is one of the very few vintage clothing dealers from whom I've bought things directly, at full price. His eye is impeccable.

Yup, I have '54. I usually catch Roberto once a month at the Alameda Antique Fair. I bought a tie from him last month. He invited me to check out his studio. It's definitely something I need to do. When I first met him I was just out of college and couldn't afford much. I'm able to splurge a little now and haven't jumped at the opportunity. I'm going to have to hit him up soon. By the way, Che, I'm Tony from Berkeley.
