What the article is debunking is the myth that most of your heat is lost through the head; however, it also states:

"The face, head and chest are more sensitive to changes in temperature than the rest of the body..."​

This alone is reason to wear a hat. If your head feels colder than other parts of the body, then one should naturally wear a hat to feel warmer. And if one is going to wear a hat to feel warmer, one should do so in style, as we do with the rest of our body (coat, gloves, etc.).
