A new hat, just in time for my trip

I just got a new hat, courtesy of Reetpleat, and what a fantastic hat! It's a taupe Hardeman that is broken in just to the perfect degree. Fits like it was made for me, and is a nice soft, and lightweight felt. I think it will be the perfect thing for wear around the desert.

Here's a few pics.

Just the hat I needed for my trip to Phoenix this weekend. Thanks, Reetpleat!

Hey, that's real nice. That width ribbon really does it for me.

does it have as extreme a brim curl as it looks?

It does. It's about 2-5/8" wide, which I like, and not too high a crown. There's something about the way my head is dhaped that I have to wear my hats higher to keep them from sinking over my ears, so the slightly lower crown looks better on me (I think! Tell me if I'm wrong!).

I like the ribbon a lot, too. I have an OR that's in incredible shape, and was restyled by Art, but with that really thin ribbon I feel like I have ten miles of hat on my head. (That OR is probably going to be available soon, too, if anyone is looking for a light tan in a 7).

I always wondered why they said a Hardeman was good to find.

Sorry, couldn't resist. Seriously, though, is it from the
JT Hardeman Hat company of Seattle? I couldn't find much
else on Google.

Nice hat.

lol

I'm afraid I don't know much about the company. The band has a seller's mark of Desler's, Seaside, Oregon, so Seattle seems like a safe bet. I'd like to know more, though.

Thanks for the compliments and reassurances, too!

Great looking hat!
Thanks, Douglas! As a man that clearly knows his hats, I'll take that as a high compliment indeed!

Enjoy!!!
Fellas, I appreciate all the kind words, but when it comes from a cutie like Daisy, then I know I've got something! ;) This hat's a keeper!

And may I add, Daisy, your new avatar is smashing!

It came from a vintage shop here in Seattle. The band is stamped with the oregon store, but at the same time I picked up another Hardeman that was stamped from a store in Alaska. I assume they are from the same person, but why would they buy two Hardemans, but in two very different places.

Who knows.
