A Stratoliner spotted...

on the hat channel {TCM}

I think I saw a Stratoliner in the 1943 film Shadow of a Doubt.
In the part of the film where the detectives are walking down the sidewalk talking to Charlie [Teresa Wright]. Det. Fred Saunders [Wallace Ford] is sporting a nice thin ribboned fedora.

I was really looking at his hat when a couple of times he moved to where you could see a shiny object on his hat bow.
I really could not tell if it was a plane, BUT I think it was ,as the Stratoliner is the only thin ribbon that I know of that had a pin on it.
I have watched several movies that had this style hat but this is the 1st time that I actually know that a pin was on a hat.

This may just be like another Yeti or Nessie sighting, :D
but if someone had this DVD and could get a few screen caps......

On the subject of "hat" movies . . .

I caught Kansas City (1996) on the Independant Film Channel (IFC).

The film did not overly impress me . . . but set in KC in the 1930s it had some great hats . . . and a good soundtrack to boot.
