Any opinions on which hat is a better buy/fit/wear/quality?

Couldn't find any comparisons (or much info) on the forum about either of these hats. Any opinions would be welcome!

Thanks!

Hi,
I can only tell you that Borsalino isn't "Borsalino".
I'm from Italy and buy, with satisfaction, Akubra!
Good italian hat are Panizza, Guerra, Melegari...

Best wishes.
Riccardo.

I've owned both. I sold the Borsalino Traveller after a few months and I wear my Akubra Traveller more than any other hat that I own. The felt that the Borsalino is made out of is extremely thin. It reminded me of tin foil. The felt (or "pliofelt") that the Akubra Traveller is made out of is sturdy, almost rubbery. Keep in mind that the Akubra Traveller's brim is 3", I think -- mine was pre-cut down to a dimensional 2 3/8" on the sides and 2" on the front/back.
